Starting in 1993, Charlie Apt and Ciao Bella began disrupting the super premium ice cream category by introducing unique flavors in a gelato and sorbet format. Ciao Bella relied upon chefs to inspire intense flavors with savory ingredients and dense consistency that were cutting edge. The Apprentice and Oprah, just to name a few, sought out Ciao Bella for ice cream and sorbet beyond compare.
