Emerging Brands Alliance Provides Grant Opportunity

Specialty Food Association

The Emerging Brands Alliance will award three Emerging Brands Grants this year. Applications are currently open for emerging brands who'd like to win one of three $20,000 grants.

The Emerging brands Alliance is a platform that provides education, community support, and growth opportunities for new brands. It focuses on enabling its brands to scale their operations.

A brand winner can use the grant award for the following:

• Conduct market research

• Create funding pitch materials

• Build a prototype of the product

• Hire a consultant, food scientist, or attorney

• Purchase equipment

• Invest in ecommerce or D2C packaging

• Advertise and promote the product

The grants will be awarded in Chicago on October 23 at this year’s Emerging Brands Summit, a one-day event to help growing brands scale manufacturing operations. Advisors will lead operations discussions, and suppliers eager to work with new brands will be present.

Event speakers include Candice Crane of Petal Sparkling Botanicals, Michael Sigel of So Good Brand, Graham Sorkin of The Functional Chocolate Company, and Jamie Valenti-Jordan of Catapult Commercialization Services.
