Gourmet International Ltd. imports & distributes fine quality specialty foods & confections throughout the United States. Our valued customers include gourmet retailers, quality grocers, deli's, gift shops, gift basket companies, web retailers & more. (Not intended for direct to consumer sales.) Items are sold in case quantities only for Continental U.S. customers only (excluding Puerto Rico). Gourmet International began its journey more than 45 years ago when Horst and Erika Nitzsche immigrated to Michigan from Germany. Shortly thereafter, they decided to open a retail store, Erika’s Delicatessen and Import Haus, to offer their local community an authentic taste of their homeland. The demand for specialty food items grew beyond West Michigan and a new company was born. Gourmet International was incorporated in 1989 and now the second generation owners, Mike and Monica, share their passion in offering an expanded variety of specialty foods to all market segments across the United States. Today, Gourmet International is the exclusive importer of over 35 European brands ranging from savory to sweet. We currently service all 50 states with our devoted staff. Over the past thirty years, we have expanded our warehouse four times, and recently relocated to a new and larger space to better accommodate our growing business. With a new 125,000 square foot warehouse designed to provide efficient service, and a brand new website, we strive to consistently exceed your expectations in all areas of service. Our staff and field sales representatives are poised to help you with product selection, merchandising strategy and marketing programs.
