The company’s products include predominantly Basmati Rice, Rice Syrup, Rice Protein, Rice Maltodextrin, Dextrose Monohydrate, Corn Starch,Himalayan Pink Salt, Spices, Dessert Mixes & specialty gluten free flours and functional ingredients. With over 50 years of experience in the rice industry, and a global portfolio of more than 300 corporate customers, the company is the largest basmati rice exporter from Pakistan, and its flagship brand “Falak Basmati Rice” is available in more than 50 countries worldwide. Matco Foods also exports private label brands to over 70 countries across the globe. The company operates 5 rice processing and milling plants which include vertically-integrated paddy drying, storage, husking and processing facilities in Karachi, Sindh and Sadhoke, Punjab. MFL operates a 30,000 MT plant producing Rice Syrups and Protein in Karachi. In 2022 a Corn Starch Division was set up in Faisalabad with a capacity of 40,000 MT. MFL holds organic certfications from the USDA as well as the EU. Focusing on evolving global food trends, quality and sustainability are of utmost priority to us. We procure paddy directly from farmers and our “Friends of Farmers” Program is the first of its kind to be certified organic and operates with Oxfam and the Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP) and has over 500 female farmers enrolled in the program. This improves our stringent quality standards of seed purity, GMO-free products, prohibited pesticide use.
