Maytag Dairy Farms, Inc.
Since1941, Maytag Blue cheese has been handcrafted in small batches on the family farm in central Iowa. Each wheel is carefully monitored through the aging process in the underground caves, 175 feet into the hillside. Located in the rolling hills of central Iowa, in addition to the original cheese plant, five barns dating back to 1903 have been preserved. A visit to this historic farm is well worth the trip.
