Our familyowned and operated business reflects a heritage of four generations of cheesemakers who have continued to practice the art in the traditional way since the 1880's. We make many varieties of American Originals which include cow, goat, sheep and mixed milk cheeses. Traditional favorites such as Cheddar, Fontina, Gouda, Blue, and Swiss. At Carr Valley, we currently have 3 Master Cheesemakers on staff. We utilize specialized techniques that bring out the unique flavor and diversity of our cheeses. These specialties have won over 600 national and international awards. We presently manufacture over 95 varieties of cheese that are sold in our own retail stores, as well as national retailers. In addition, our cheese can be enjoyed at fine dining restaurants all over the country.
