Michele Liddle, founder and CEO of The Perfect Granola, is partnering her company with PepsiCo’s Food for Good and WomanMade programs to expand her company’s ability to realize its mission to create positive social change and end child hunger in America. The announcement of the partnership will take place on 3/17/2021.
Liddle is a mother to two young girls and CEO to a startup brand that is continuing to attract national attention and partnerships with Fortune 500 companies. She is paving the way during these current difficult times to show other female-founders, women-owned businesses and female entrepreneurs that anything is possible, stating:
“I want women everywhere to know that in the face of COVID-19, in the face of a global pandemic, your business can not only survive but thrive. You can still be a strong businesswoman and a great mom, even during these crazy times.”
Why this partnership matters to you and your audience:
The partnership between The Perfect Granola, Food for Good and WomanMade raises awareness for two key issues exacerbated by the pandemic: child hunger and the decline of women-owned small businesses.
As a result of the pandemic, 1 in 6 children are at risk of hunger (Feeding America, 2020) and 1 in 4 women face the risk of leaving the workforce (McKinsey, 2020). Additionally, venture capital funding for female founded or led startups in the U.S. was down 31% in the first three quarters of 2020 compared to 2019 (Pitchbook, 2020).
