Hollister, California. July 27, 2022 -- After 26 years as Chief Executive Officer of MARICH® Confectionery Company, Brad van Dam has decided to retire from his leadership role. We are very thankful to Brad for his 38 years of dedication to MARICH®, the company that his father Marinus established in 1983. Under Brad’s leadership and direction, the company experienced dramatic growth through the creation of industry-leading products, services and a positive, people and family friendly company culture, in addition to successfully guiding Marich through the recent Covid crisis and putting the Company on track for record sales this year. Listing all of Brad’s accomplishments during his nearly 40 years with Marich would fill numerous pages. “I am thankful for all the dedicated people I have had the opportunity to work with and have made meaningful friendships with employees, customers, suppliers and peers and have had some of the greatest experiences a man can ask for.”, said Brad. We are very grateful for the guidance and support he has provided to each of us over these many years and wish him and his family the very best in their future.
As part of the leadership transition, Marich welcomes Leonard Spelt as incoming CEO. Leo has served on Marich’s Board of Directors since 2013 and brings many years of experience in the confectionery and food & beverage industries. Troy van Dam will continue in his role as President and Chief Operating Officer and carry on the family legacy of innovation in delicious Pancrafted® chocolates, and premium candies.
