Whole Foods recently made Mesa de Vida’s starter sauces available in nearly 200 stores. The sauces can be used to simmer, slow cook, braise, and more, according to the brand.
Included in this product line are Mediterranean, Latin, Creole, and Caribbean flavors.
“I founded Mesa de Vida with my personal core values as a chef in mind: health, flavor, and sustainability. As a mom to two children with a rare genetic cancer-causing disease and as a living kidney donor myself, I am conscious of the health effects of every aspect of our products,” said Kirsten Helle Sandoval, founder of Mesa de Vida, in a statement. “This is why we add minimal sodium and no oils or artificial fillers (instead bumping up the herbs and spices), and why we opt for fully recyclable glass over plastic packaging.”
Each jar retails for $8.99 and can be found in Whole Foods stores in South Pacific and Midwest regions as well as online.
