An average of 244,000 U.S. jobs were added over the past three months and 316,000 over the past year, according to a blog post issued by the White House.
“The U.S. job market remains strong, with solid job gains, rising prime-age labor supply, and an unemployment rate that has been below four percent for over a year-and-half,” according to the Council of Economic Advisers.
In June, payroll employment was up 209,000, signaling a healthy job market, according to the post.
“The share of working-age Americans who have jobs is at the highest level in over 20 years. Inflation has come down by more than half. We are seeing stable and steady growth. That’s Bidenomics—growing the economy by creating jobs, lowering costs for hardworking families, and making smart investments in America,” said President Joe Biden in a statement.
