The Fresh Market unveiled Wednesday a digital-only shoppable version of its magazine. The decision to take the magazine from print and online to digital-exclusive is part of the company’s digital transformation and retail media network strategy.
The magazine supports vendor advertising and features an interactive shoppable experience. It includes:
• A larger format with more content, including meal planning tips and easy meal ideas.
• A section dedicated to specialty eating diets like Paleo, Keto, and vegetarian.
• The ability for customers to actively shop for products in the magazine.
• Shoppable videos embedded throughout each issue; content includes recipes, curator content, special finds, and how-tos.
“Our new digital-only shoppable magazine marks our largest and most immersive magazine experience ever, allowing our guests to make both every day and special occasions memorable through a wide variety of recipes, meal solutions, and fresh deals,” said Kevin Miller, CMO of The Fresh Market, in a statement. “The Magazine will also continue to feature special savings on high-quality products at a great value from our vendor partners that our guests love.”
The digital-only version of the magazine is also more sustainable, as printing and shipping are eliminated from the production process.
