Tea Drunk, Dandelion Chocolate to Offer Virtual Pairing Class

Tea producer Tea Drunk has partnered with Dandelion Chocolate to offer an interactive virtual class that will include a curated flight of five chocolate bars paired with five loose leaf teas.

The 75-minute class will take place on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, via Zoom. Chocolates and teas will be provided to registrants prior to the class.

The class aims to explore the connection between the two products, in which terroir plays a major role in the flavors, value, and quality of the final product, according to the companies.

Participants will learn the skill of fine tasting and pairing, focusing on specialized techniques, flavors to look for, and pairing tips. They will learn how to identify flavor families, how flavors are developed, and why they are paired together.

Chocolates featured will include Tumaco, Colombia 70 percent Kokoa Kamili, Tanzania 70 percent Gola Rainforest, Sierra Leone 70 percent Costa Esmeraldas, Ecuador 70 percent Anamalai, and India 70 percent.

The chocolates will be paired with Ban Po Lao Zhai Pu Er Tea Qi Men Hong Cha, Red Tea Shou Pu, Black Tea Gua Pian, Green Tea Wu Liang Shan White, and White Tea.
