This fall, Target will open four new sortation centers, sites that enable employees to more quickly sort packages to be shipped. The centers will be located in Houston, Dallas, Philadelphia, and Lawrenceville, Georgia. A pilot sortation center opened in Minneapolis in 2020.
“These new sites are just one piece of our $4 billion annual investment in capabilities that power the services and experiences our guests love,” said the retailer in a statement. “They’ll build on the success of our Minneapolis pilot sortation center, which has already delivered millions of packages to local guests. As always, it’s all about delivering joy to our guests — making sure you can get what you need, when you need it, how you want it, now and for years to come.”
