Local veterans will join Stew Leonard's to pack hundreds of free dinners for veterans and their families to kick off the "Stew's For Soldiers" Memorial Day weekend event, Friday. The "Stew's For Soldiers" campaign will include all seven Stew Leonard's locations and will feed up to 5,600 people.
Veterans from local American Legion posts and VFWs will help Stew Leonard's assemble the holiday dinners and will deliver the meals to local veterans in need throughout the region. Each dinner will feed 8 people and contain pulled pork, BBQ’d chicken, Stew Leonard’s Hawaiian Rolls, ranchers’ baked beans, macaroni salad, potato salad, and coleslaw.
