Sprouts Farmers Market revealed Monday that locations in San Antonio, Texas, and Rancho Cordova, California will debut this Friday.

The Rancho Cordova location will stock locally produced products including fresh fruits and vegetables from Capay Organics Farm, George Perry and Sons, and Gotham Greens.

“We are thrilled to welcome Sprouts to Rancho Cordova’s new Stone Creek Village shopping center,” said City of Rancho Cordova Mayor, Donald Terry, in a statement. “Sprouts’ well-known reputation for being both a grocery store that specializes in fresh, local produce and that has a passion for being involved in their communities makes them a great new business and community partner in our city.”

The San Antonio store will also stock locally produced items including produce from Chip Berry Produce, South Tex Organics, and True Harvest Farms.

At both stores, blue tags will connote locally sourced items.

The new California store is awarding $50,000 to the Soil Born Farms to promote urban agriculture, sustainable food systems, and healthy food education. Both locations also seek to support the communities they serve by working with local nonprofits to donate edible groceries no longer fit for sale to food banks in the area.
