The Specialty Food Association will host The Basics, an all-day course featuring founders and principals from some of the most iconic brands in specialty foods, on Saturday, June 11, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Javits Center in New York City.
Presenters include Nona Lim, founder of Nona Lim Foods, Patti Doyle, CEO of Rumi Spice, Sarah Wallace, CEO of The Good Bean, Michael Antonorsi chief joy activator, Chuao Chocolatier, and others. The full schedule can be found here.
"The Basics is the cornerstone of SFA's education program. It's an opportunity for newer companies, and those interested in entering the market, to learn practical, real-world lessons from the founders who have succeeded in this tough business," said Gretchen VanEsselstyn, director of education for the SFA. "Ask any successful food and beverage entrepreneur you know and I bet they started by taking The Basics at the Fancy Food Show."
The price for SFA members is $99 and $199 for non-members.
