Southeastern Grocers Opens Stand-Alone Liquor Store

Southeastern Grocers Inc. opened a new stand-alone liquor store concept in Jacksonville, Florida, Wednesday. The new WDs Wine, Beer & Liquor, located in Jacksonville’s Miramar Center shopping plaza, is the first in the grocer’s Southeast footprint.

The store features more than 1,700 red, white, and sparkling wines, along with a bottle chiller to chill any champagne or wine in minutes; a wine tasting station with free samples of 10 wine varieties; a beer cave with more than 500 beer varieties; more than 1,400 spirit selections including local distillery offerings; fresh products and supplies to create customized charcuterie boards; and a humidor with 40 premium cigar selections. The store also has a seating area for tastings and group events.
