Save A Lot has named Trey Johnson its new chief merchandising officer. He will bring his experience as EVP and chief merchandising, marketing, and supply chain officer at The Save Mart Companies, to the role.
Prior to his tenure at TSMC, he held relevant positions at Albertsons, Big Lots, Family Dollar, Jewel Food Stores, Sears, SuperValu, and Walmart during his 30-plus years of industry experience.
“With his strong track record of success in the grocery business, Trey brings a deep knowledge and understanding of the complex operations involved with merchandising strategies and tactical implementation,” said Leon Bergmann, CEO of Save A Lot, in a statement. “We’re excited for him to leverage that experience to ensure that Save A Lot’s assortment positions our Retail Partners to win consistently in their markets.”
Johnson will oversee the merchandising and quality assurance of Save A Lot’s products, and strengthen partner and vendor relationships.
