Purely Elizabeth, a brand specializing in gluten-free and nutritious breakfast foods and granolas, which launch a Superfood Cereal with vitamin D. The product will come in two flavors: Honey Peanut Butter, and Vanilla Blueberry Almond.

The company chose to incorporate Vitamin D because of the recent interest in immune health brought on by the pandemic.

"Purely Elizabeth is continuing to innovate, grow and change the way we think about and commit ourselves to food and nutrition with products that are packed with both superfood qualities, as well as an irresistible crunchy texture and taste," said Elizabeth Stein, CEO and founder of Purely Elizabeth, in a statement. "So many of our consumers are already using our granola as a cereal, so we could not be more thrilled to launch our new Superfood Cereal that combines delicious flavors with the benefits of Vitamin D, fiber and sustainably sourced coconut sugar."

The new product reinforces the company’s commitment to the use of nourishing ingredients: the cereal includes superfoods like chia, quinoa, and amaranth, as well as fruits, nuts, and seeds. The product is certified gluten-free, and Non-GMO Project verified. The cereal is $6.99 and available on the company’s website and exclusively in retail at Whole Foods through this Fall.

The product announcement comes soon after the company raised $50 million in Series B funding, which Purely Elizabeth explained would be used for product innovation, ecommerce strategy, and investment in marketing.
