Sprouts Farmers Market had a nearly 300 percent increase in online sales in Q4 of 2020, according to chief financial officer Denise Paulonis during an earnings call, reports Grocery Dive. This growth is due to the grocer’s efforts to encourage online customers to use Sprouts’ own e-commerce platform to place orders, directing 15 percent of its digital traffic through that route.
Sprouts’ net sales rose 17 percent during the quarter to $1.6 billion but comparable sales growth was down 4.2 percent from the previous quarter.
In 2021, Sprouts is looking to digital marketing and a smaller, more focused store format that it’s getting ready to roll out to push its business forward. Full Story
