Metropolitan Market, an independent specialty grocer, will open its Seattle, Washington location on August 30.
“Food is about bringing people together, facilitating meaningful relationships, and feeding long-lasting memories,” said Metropolitan Market CEO, Ron Megahan, in a statement. “We are absolutely thrilled to be joining the Crown Hill community and we look forward to meeting our new neighbors soon.”
The store will feature grocery essentials, international and local specialty items, fresh-baked and made-to-order items, and more. A selection of locally grown fruits and vegetables as well as seasonal offerings will also be available, according to the grocer.
New features of the location include:
• Fish market with local shellfish arriving daily.
• Wine and beer department with more than 1,200 wines, beers, and spirits, including exclusives, limited releases, and hard-to-find items.
• Bakery with specialty cakes, local pies, and pastries; local bakeries Belle Epicurean, Macrina, Milkvue, and many more can also be found.
• Cafe brewing locally roasted coffees.
• Cheese section with prepared in-store mozzarella and cheese professionals to assist with cheese selection.
• Full-service Butcher Shop with ready-to-cook meal options.
• Kitchen Shop with a large selection of everyday housewares, kitchen tools, cutlery, linens, and more along with on-trend gift items, candles, and cookbooks.
• An extensive selection of made-to-order foods.
Metropolitan Market first opened its doors in 1971. The Crown Hill location will be its tenth grocery store in Western Washington.
