Impossible Foods Inc. plans to launch a plant-based chicken nugget this fall, reports Bloomberg. According to the company, the offering, which uses textured soy protein and sunflower oil to replicate the mouthfeel of nuggets, will be unveiled at a trade show this week.
Similar to its plant-based burger distribution, the nugget will be available to restaurants first, with a retail launch planned shortly after, according to the report.
This comes a couple weeks after Beyond Meat launched plant-based chicken tenders at nearly 400 restaurants across the country. Full Story
