Ice Cream Company Celebrates Women By Paying Shipping Costs

Specialty Food Association

Woman-founded Gallivant Mawa Ice Cream is celebrating Women’s History Month by paying the shipping costs for all direct-to-consumer orders placed in March. This is part of an effort to draw attention to Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, while getting Gallivant’s ice cream into the hands of more customers, according to the company.

To be eligible for the refund, customers can order the ice cream bundle of their choice, take a picture of their ice cream, and upload it to Instagram or Facebook, tagging Galivant Ice Cream and any grocers that they want to stock its products. The $35 shipping fee will automatically be refunded back to customers’ accounts.

“Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture, society, business and more,” said Snehee Chaplot, founder and CEO Gallivant Mawa Ice Cream, in a statement. “As a woman and founder of an ice cream company, I owe a debt to all the trailblazing women who came before me, and the women of my generation who continue the legacy,” she added.
