Specialty Food Association

Green Zebra, a convenience store/specialty market hybrid, is reopening its downtown Portland, Oregon location after shutting down for 18 months, reports Progressive Grocer. The store, which serves many students at the nearby Portland State University, is hiring about 25 employees as part of the reopening.

“2020 was hard for so many, Green Zebra included,” said company founder and CEO Lisa Sedlar. “We were saddened to have to lay off our staff and close the PSU store last year. So it feels particularly rewarding to be reopening it.”

The store has undergone a refresh, with new mural art and new products, including seasonal fall items. Full Story
