The European Union will take part in the 2023 Winter Fancy Food Show as the SFA’s official show partner under the slogan “More than Food, Great Stories to Share.”

The EU will promote the quality, safety, authenticity, and sustainability of foods and drinks from the EU, which has a long tradition of producing some of the world’s finest farm products. It will showcase some of the best of its products to inform and inspire American buyers, retailers, and distributors. Foods will include deli meats, quality cheeses, olive oil, fruits and vegetables, chocolate and confectionery products, pasta and bakery products, wine, beer, and spirits.

"We are delighted to be participating in the Winter Fancy Food Show," said Michael Curtis, deputy head of the EU Mission to the US in Washington D.C. "This is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase the quality and diversity of our food products and to connect with businesses and buyers from around the U.S. We look forward to sharing with everyone at the show Europe’s passion for great food, and the quality, safety and sustainability standards that make European food so special."

In addition to sampling high-quality food from the EU, the EU Pavilion, located at booth #2467 and 2567, will highlight the EU's commitment to supporting Europe’s farmers and producers. Visitors will learn about quality assurance labels in place in the EU, such as geographical indications, which protects the traditions of European producers while giving businesses around the world an assurance of European quality and authenticity that they can pass on to their customers.

An opening ceremony will take place at the EU Pavilion this Sunday from 10:30 -11:30 a.m. Attendees are encouraged to register for the event here

The EU will offer interactive sessions such as live cooking shows with renowned European and U.S. chefs, tastings, and product workshops.

As part of Taste it Live, at booth #1517, chefs from the European Union will lead cooking demonstrations at noon this Sunday and Monday. The EU will also offer tastings of food and beverages in the Key Buyer Lounge.

Makers and distributors of the finest EU products will gather on the Big Idea Stage to share their stories and speak about the advantages of these products during the session “What Makes EU F&B Products More Than Food?” taking place this Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and Monday at 10:30 a.m.
