Boxed, the ecommerce wholesale grocery retailer, announced three additions to its executive team: Anna Meyer, Jung Choi, and Veracelle Vega. These leaders will work to accelerate growth during the company’s mission to go public, according to Boxed.
Meyer will join the company as the chief revenue officer, mobilizing 20 years of industry experience to acquire new clients. Choi will use her 15 years of legal expertise to lead all legal and compliance matters and serve as a strategic advisor to management and the board of directors as the company’s general counsel and secretary. Vega will serve as the new chief people officer. She has decades of experience building out high-performing companies and will lead and develop all people-focused strategies like compensation, talent management, employee engagement, and more.
“We are entering a monumental period of growth at Boxed, and having Anna, Jung, and Veracelle join our leadership team with the breadth of knowledge and experience they bring, is critical to our long-term goals,” said Boxed co-founder and CEO Chieh Huang, in a statement. “Of these key hires, all identify as female and two identify as minorities, illustrating Boxed's continued commitment to diversity and inclusion.”
