BJ's Wholesale Club has announced that it will open a smaller BJ's Market in Warwick, Rhode Island featuring top-selling foods, produce, seasonal products, and more for its BJ's Wholesale Club members.
At 43,000 square feet, this market will be roughly half the size of a standard BJ's. The store will stock the same pack sizes and items will be priced the same as in standard club locations. Curbside pick-up, same-day delivery, and ExpressPay — immediate digital checkout via the smartphone app — will also be made available.
“BJ's Market will serve as an exciting new innovation lab for BJ's Wholesale Club,” said Bill Werner, executive vice president, strategy, and development, in a statement. “We are bringing the same great savings and value our members know and love, but delivering a convenient location closer to home.”
As part of BJ's Feeding Communities program, the company's Charitable Foundation has supported Rhode Island charities including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick, and the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
