Amazon is opening its first grocery stores on the East Coast, the company confirmed, reports CNBC. Two stores will open in the Washington D.C. area and two more are planned for Warrington, Pennsylvania, and Chevy Chase, Maryland. Amazon declined to comment on whether the four stores will be Amazon Fresh locations or when they will open, according to the report.
Amazon currently has 11 Amazon Fresh stores open, the first of which opened in Woodland Hills, California last September. Other locations include Irvine, Whittier, and Los Angeles, California, as well as Bloomingdale and Naperville, Illinois. Full Story
