Specialty Food Association

Wackym’s Kitchen, one of 244 Award Recipients from across the nation, is Recognized for Outstanding Products in the Snacks Category

Garland, Texas – January 2022 – WACKYM’S KITCHEN was recognized by the Good Food Foundation; an organization that celebrates, connects, empowers, and leverages the passionate local food makers, ranchers and growers who are creating tasty, authentic, and responsible food in the American food culture. The Good Food Awards highlights the best of the best across the nation in 18 categories and awards 3 winners in each region – North, South, East, West and Central. In 2022, every state in the nation was represented with nearly 2000 submissions.

The Good Food Awards announced the award winners on January 14, 2022. Executive Director, Sarah Weiner, shares that WACKYM’S KITCHEN was selected as outstanding in 2022:

“We created the Good Food Awards to highlight the small, local makers doing everything right, whose tremendous contributions are often overlooked. WACKYM’S KITCHEN is a true innovator that rose to the top in a blind tasting and met the high sustainability and socially responsibility standards of the Good Food Foundation. We’re honored to award WACKYM’S KITCHEN as a truly outstanding product rooted in the sort of value’s we all want to support.”

Alice Waters, long-time supporter, Founder of Chez Panisse and Edible Schoolyard Project, shares:

“The Good Food Award Winners are the future for this country - creating products that are good, clean and fair. Emphasizing the GOOD as taste – taste is the way we will change people’s minds so we can change the world through taste and beauty.”

Master Baker, Paul Wackym, shared that the Good Food Foundation has significant respect in the food and beverage community as well as with consumers who value finding the best when they find the Good Food Award mark of approval.

“We are thrilled and honored to be a recipient of two Good Food Awards.  As a member of the Good Food Guild, which fosters and support standards that guarantee excellence, we feel privileged to be in the company of others who are creating such amazing products and doing good in our local communities.  It is an extra boost of confidence that our treats are bringing joy and delight to others.”
