LAS VEGAS (Jan. 10, 2023) — Fresh off its win at the World Cheese Awards, the four-time world’s best cheese titleholder, Le Gruyère AOP, will return to the Specialty Food Association's Winter Fancy Food Show Jan. 15-17 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The original Gruyère cheese has been handmade by skilled artisans — using many of the same techniques — since 1115.
The fresh Alpine air and flora provide a terroir unlike any other, and, along with cows’ strict, high-quality diets and the geographic restrictions in place (the more than 1,800 farmers who supply the 400 liters needed to make each Gruyère wheel can haul their milk no more than 12 miles to productions facilities) help keep the legacy and tradition alive. Le Gruyère AOP is incomparable, inimitable — and incredibly delicious.
With its silky, smooth mouthfeel, ooey-gooey meltiness, crumbly, semi-hard texture and mild-but-impactful flavor, the naturally lactose-, gluten-, and preservative-free cheese, derived from raw milk and maturation, will show Fancy Food Show attendees why Le Gruyère AOP continues to dominate the global cheese scene.
“We can’t wait to head back to the Winter Fancy Food Show to highlight the incredible cheese that Le Gruyère AOP producers craft with love and attention,” Denis Kaser, head of international marketing for Le Gruyère AOP consortium, said. “We are honored to provide the original Gruyère — nearly a century old — and proudly share our story.”
