San Diego, CA - June 30, 2021 -- Sauce Goddess Gourmet LLC was chosen to present at Walmart’s Second Ever Virtual Open Call. Walmart has been holding in-person Open Call events for years. They are increasing their support of local and regional brands. Some brands are unknown on the national level. Walmart’s current goal is $350 billion dollars in Spending on products made or assembled in the US. They are also increasing their spend on Diversity-owned vendors.
This was a double-bonus for Sauce Goddess branded gourmet foods as they are made and assembled in the US. Sauce Goddess Gourmet LLC is also a woman-owned company. “Now is a very good time to be a Woman-Owned company” says Jennifer Reynolds, founder and CEO of Sauce Goddess Gourmet LLC. “We have so very many doors that are open to us now, that previously would not give us a chance.”
Sauce Goddess Gourmet LLC is certified as a Women-Owned business by WBENC, the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. They created the Women-Owned logo program a few ago. Reynolds credits “having the logo on our products has definitely listed sales. Around 90% of the people shopping for groceries are women, we love to support each other.”
The opportunity to present and have items chosen for Walmart is “a big bonus to not only our sales but also how big of a difference we can make in helping people have better, more flavorful lives.” says Reynolds passionately. “We’re really into helping people create great meals with our products, not just pushing jars. We’ve got over 130 recipes on our website.”
Sauce Goddess expects the products to be on the shelf within 9-12 months from the date of the decision from Walmart.
