[Las Vegas, January 22, 2024] – Looking for a truly unique culinary brand in 2024? Hitch a ride with HYCH hot sauce to cooking & travel adventures in the captivating cloud forest of Costa Rica or the majestic cypress-lined hills of Tuscany!

Chef Matt Kuerbis, former Executive Chef of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts (Portland, OR), and wife Catharine Kuerbis are lifelong world travelers and launched HYCH — their line of craft hot sauces — in Salem, OR, in 2016. Their mission at HYCH (pronounced hitch” and short for Heat You Can Handle) is to inspire a sense of adventure through their authentic world flavors and now — world travels.

We make it easy to get off the beaten path and experience culture and cuisine in another corner of the world,” said Chef Kuerbis, who teaches culinary workshops during the retreats. Our travel mantra for HYCH is Grab your plane ticket and your passport, well handle the rest!’ ”

HYCH has spaces remaining for two culinary adventures in 2024:

HYCH A Ride to Costa Rica is an all-inclusive retreat April 24 - May 1 at Finca Mia Retreat Center. This tropical escape promises an immersion into the heart of Costa Rican culture, mouthwatering organic cuisine, and enchanting accommodations along the banks of the Rio Talari near Mt. Chirripo, Costa Ricas highest peak.

In addition to hands-on culinary workshops each day at Finca Mia, well learn about bean to bar chocolate and taste local cheeses at Quesos Canaan – well even meet their cows,” said Kuerbis, recently a guest chef on TBSs cooking show Rat in the Kitchen. Waterfall hikes at Cloudbridge Nature Preserve will be followed by a day in Dominical, a popular surf town where guests can kick back and enjoy ceviche and fried plantains with their toes in the sand.”

HYCH A Ride to Tuscany takes place at a villa outside of Florence September 7-14 where guests will enjoy private suites and plenty of hands-on Italian cooking time. Winery visits, a day trip to Florence and ancient hilltop towns, olive oil tastings and time to relax by the pool will fill the hours in between culinary workshops.

No one goes hungry on our retreats, thats for sure,” said Catharine Kuerbis. We love bringing people together around delicious meals in new places and seeing our guests laugh, relax, try something new and forge friendships that continue after we return home.”

These exclusive retreats offer once-in-a-lifetime experiences combining adventure, culture, and delectable cuisine under the guidance of a culinary expert. Limited spots are available, visit https://heatyoucanhandle.com/pages/food-tours or contact HYCH to book at 971-363-9762.
