NEW YORK, NY (June 12-14, 2022) – Bold Palate Foods will make its Summer Fancy Food Show debut with a line of dressings and sauces made to transform a common meal into a fine culinary experience.
The specialty food start-up will offer sampling of its four core products at Booth 7351.
The line includes No Cows on this Ranch, a light, herbaceous version of classic Ranch dressing; The Beet Goes On, a sweet and smoky dressing and barbecue sauce with a beet base; Hint of Harissa, with zesty ginger and warm spices, and Apple Spice Vinaigrette, with sweet and tangy flavor balanced with a touch of mustard and garlic.
Company founder and CEO Kate Mann, a former TV reporter turned culinary blogger, started Bold Palate to fill a need by busy home cooks: Dressings and sauces that are packed with delicious flavor and clean, nutritious ingredients.
“Many conventional dressings and sauces are loaded with sugar, sodium and saturated fat,” says Mann. “Bold Palate offers a refreshing alternative. Our ingredients include puréed fruits and veggies, organic herbal teas, apple cider vinegar and lots of herbs and spices. We use no added sugar, no artificial sweeteners, no nuts and no animal products.”
The line is sold on Amazon, Bold Palate’s own online store, and in specialty grocery stores in New York City. The products are sold in 12-oz. glass bottles with a suggested retail price of $8.99 per bottle. New products in development include a vegan Caesar dressing.
Mann says that collaborations with professional chefs and food scientists have been critical to getting Bold Palate products off the ground. Mann has also teamed with a panel of food industry advisors to help bring her products to market and to successfully manage through the unforeseen disruptions caused by the pandemic.
“We are grateful we’ve gotten onto store shelves in New York. We see the Summer Fancy Food Show as a terrific opportunity to connect with buyers and distributors in other parts of the country,” she says.
