NEXTY and sofi™ Awards Validate Alexandre’s Dedication to Health: From Soil to Shelf
May 11, 2023 - Crescent City, CA – Fresh off a NEXTY award win (and we mean fresh!) at Natural Foods Expo West in March, Alexandre Family Farm’s new 100% Grass-fed kefir is also a sofi™ award winner in the New Dairy Product category. Alexandre Family Farm will now compete against other category winners for the 2023 sofi™ New Product of the Year Award, which will be selected and announced at the Summer Fancy Food Show in June.
Alexandre’s kefir is made from 100% grass-fed whole milk that undergoes a probiotic fermentation to create billions of live CFUs from 24 probiotic strains, and a naturally varying level of milkfat that changes by the season. A unique QR code on the kefir bottle links consumers to the natural milkfat percentage, which is always above 4% (making a richer, creamier milk!).
The farm’s A2/A2 cows produce milk that is easily digestible by most people, and the kefir is 99% lactose free. A complete nutrition profile is available here: https://alexandrefamilyfarm.com/products/100-grass-fed-whole-milk-kefir
“We’re grateful for the awards that respect and highlight our ongoing commitment to create nutritious and trustworthy dairy products while stewarding the health of our animals and the land,” said founder Blake Alexandre. “Our new kefir serves consumer demand for a product that promotes gut health and immunity - and tastes delicious!”
The sofi™ award is a prestigious honor from the Specialty Food Association, which is a leader in the $175 billion specialty food industry. https://www.specialtyfood.com/awards/sofi/
