Tom and Mary Ellen Power

Thomas and Mary Ellen Power opened The Cheese Shop in 1971 with only 600 square feet. With the help of their three children, the business has grown into three popular Williamsburg landmarks employing over 85. In addition to The Cheese Shop and Wine Cellar, the Fat Canary restaurant has been awarded OpenTable's 100 best restaurants and AAA's Four Diamond rating every year since opening in 2003.
