Ronald Schmitz was active when NASFT/SFA was getting organized in the early 50's. Telefood was the leading trade publication and also served as a co-operative system, allowing registered Telefood specialty retailers to take gift basket orders at their location for delivery throughout the country. Ron's magazine was the major communication vehicle for the industry.
