Hall of Fame

Lorie Alexander has had a love affair with Koppers Chocolate and the specialty food trade her whole life. As a young girl, Lorie escaped Nazi Germany with her parents, who founded Koppers Chocolate in Greenwich Village in 1937. At 18, Lorie married Harold Alexander, a returning War hero. Soon Harold and Lorie took over the reins of Koppers, and were a founding member of the Specialty Food Association. For nearly 80 years, Koppers has produced the most treasured panned chocolates.
