Laura Chenel

After learning to make artisanal goat cheese in France in 1979, Laura founded the first French style goat cheese company in America. Years of consumer and trade education and promotion increased demand and helped her company grow. American goat cheese producers multiplied and goat cheese became a staple. In 2006, Laura Chenel's Chevre, Inc. was purchased by a French-owned cheese company, Laiteries H. Triballat.
