31st Winter Fancy Food Show®:
Your Gateway to the World of Specialty Foods

By

Trusted as the leading source on the West Coast for specialty foods, particularly those with an Asian influence, the 31st Winter Fancy Food Show®, scheduled for January 22 - 24, 2006, in San Francisco, will kick off two new programs to highlight the more than 6,400 Asian-inspired products shown by companies from around the world.

San Francisco chef Charlie Phan of the renowned Vietnamese restaurant Slanted Door will motivate attendees to stock and sample Asian-inspired foods through a theater-style cooking demonstration and class. To give buyers a targeted area to source items such as soba noodle soup bowls, exotic curry sauces and artisan soy sauces, a new Asian Foods section has been added to the Focused Exhibits Showcases, a targeted area where attendees can investigate products in similar categories side by side.

Close to 75,000 other innovative products from as close as Sonoma and as far away as Indonesia will also be featured at the Show, including healthful snacking corn from Illinois, vanilla sea salt from Wales, black mission fig goat’s milk ice cream from California and aromatic herbs from Argentina.

The Winter Show is also an unmatched opportunity to network and make business contacts. More than 16,500 specialty food professionals will spend three days scouting out inventive and traditional food products, as well as more than 1,000 new items waiting to enter the marketplace.

Here’s What You’ll Find at the Winter Fancy Food Show:
• 80,000 specialty food products
• 1,100 exhibiting companies
• 25 international and domestic pavilions
• 170 new exhibitors with products never before seen nationally
• 1,500 items in the Focused Exhibits Showcase—Asian Foods, a new category, will join What’s New?, Natural and Organic Foods, Gift Avenue, and Foodservice Spoken Here, as well as the Product Awards Competition Winners and Finalists
• 300 products to comparatively taste in three hot categories—non-alcoholic beverages, dessert sauces and crackers—in Focused Tastings
• An expanded Educational Program offering 17 seminars, workshops, tours and special events to increase your knowledge about the specialty food industry
• 350-page Official Show Directory—a useful year-round food resource
• 16,500 of your peers and competitors working hard to improve their businesses
