NASFT MEMBER

Does your company qualify for NASFT Membership?

To exhibit at an NASFT Fancy Food Show, you must first become an NASFT Exhibiting Member if you are a U.S-based manufacturer, importer, broker or distributor.

If your company is based outside the U.S., you can exhibit in the International Section without becoming a member. Contact Patrick Lynch at 646-878-0132 or plynch@nasft.org.

NASFT Exhibiting Member classifications include manufacturers, importers and distributors of U.S. specialty foods, beverages, or confectionery, as well as agents, brokers, government agencies, trade associations, and foreign specialty food manufacturers.

To be considered for Exhibiting Membership, your organization must have been doing business for one year with the specialty food industry and provide at least five retail references. If you do not meet these qualifications, you might benefit from our newly unveiled Member Candidate Program. For more information, see below.

The Admissions Committee meets regularly on line. You will be notified of a conditional acceptance within 5 to 10 business days of receipt of your completed application. All recommendations from the Admissions Committee are forwarded to the Board of Directors for a final decision.

The Membership application process
To apply for Membership, applicants fill out an application, and pay a $100 non-refundable application fee. On this application you will be asked for trade references, to name the NASFT as an additional insured on your insurance, and submit samples or digital photos of your product.

NASFT Members pay annual dues of $200, $400 or $600, depending on a company's sales volume. If you are submitting your application between January and June your first year dues must accompany your application. If your application is submitted between July and December only half of your annual dues will need to be submitted.

Member Candidate Program
The NASFT recognizes that there are specialty food producers, like you, who have turned their passion into a product that's just begun to sell at retail. If you are not quite ready for Exhibiting Membership (in business for less than 1 year, four or fewer references), a new Member Candidate program has been developed that will give you the support you need to succeed and grow your fledgling business.

Buyers' Circle Membership Category
NASFT has opened a Buyers' Circle Member category to encourage retailers, chefs, caterers, catalogers, gift stores and restaurateurs to become members of the NASFT. Buyers' Circle Members are not eligible to exhibit.
